libkodiplatform-dev software package provides Kodi platform support library -- development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libkodiplatform-dev
libkodiplatform-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libkodiplatform-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libkodiplatform-dev *
You will get with libkodiplatform-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
